Crochet Baby Mittens
Hi, Friend!
Today I am posting the "recipe" for my newborn to infant baby mittens. They are so cute and precious.
These are lovely gifts for a baby shower. You can also make a half dozen or so to match each of your baby outfits when you are pregnant. I purposely make these in worsted weight yarn because then when you make most other baby patterns you can crochet a pair of these out of the scraps of your yarn.
If you have any questions please let me know!
Materials
Size 4, Worsted Weight Yarn.
I used Caron Simply Soft https://amzn.to/3nXbyE1
Clover Soft Touch Hooks (size G/4.0 mm): https://amzn.to/3hwe7dL
Scissors: https://amzn.to/2PfPeqf
Yarn Needle: https://amzn.to/35gjx5T
Tape Measurer: https://amzn.to/2PgYB9l

Fingerless Gloves - Free Pattern and Fun and Easy Crochet Tutorial
3.5oz of Bulky Yarn
Note:At the end of each row "chain one loosely and turn" is implied unless told otherwise.
This is for a medium set of gloves. If you want larger then add an additional 2 rows of HDC. I had enough yarn leftover from the 3.5 oz to do this so you should not need to buy more.
Create the Body of your Gloves
Chain 27,
Row 1 HDC in third chain from the hook. HDC in each stitch across (25)
Row 2-15 HDC in each stitch across (25)
(what we do next with form the thumb hole)
Single Crochet in the next five stitches on only one side of the glove (not sewing the two layers together.
Repeat the pattern for a second glove.
Let me know if you have any questions?
These are very versatile. They can be adorned with bows, buttons, ribbons...the possibilities are endless. Tag me on social media so that I can see them if you make them.

Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake in a Bowl
I love making these for myself post-workout!
1 Can of Pumpkin
2 eggs
Put the Eggs and Pumpkin in a saucepan over medium heat stirring constantly until it is warmed up and steaming. Be careful. It can sputter a bit as it warms.
Lower heat to low and add...
2 Tablespoons of Swerve Granulated Sweetener
1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
1-2 teaspoons of pumpkin spice
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
Stir well and if you want it super decadent then add:
1 Tablespoon of Heavy Whipping Cream
Keep stirring until the entire mixture is heated up and let it sit while you stir for 3-5 minutes so that the egg is thoroughly cooked through. Set aside to cool slightly as you are stirring take a moment to mix:
1 cup of Greek yogurt
1 Tablespoon of Swerve (I sometimes replace this with a squirt of liquid stevia)
Give this a quick stir and divide it evenly into two bowls.
Top each bowl with half of the cooled pumpkin mixture and stir until you get a pretty pumpkin cheesecake swirl. Enjoy!

Canada Day Crochet
I have rounded up several crochet patterns to celebrate and show off your Canadian pride to your friends and family (even if it is just on social media this year!). I love to celebrate along with you here in Texas. I always make a little project to we have poutine. To keep my family excited about the holiday poutine only happens on July 1 in my house. My family devours it...I have to make two trays at this point if I want any.
Click the pictures to be taken to the pattern homes!
The potholder is amazing...but this blog has a bunch of Canadian inspired crochet projects. Bags, hats...you name it. Rich Textures Crochet has it all!
This beaver with the flag is amazing!
This hat is adorable! I think I need one.
How incredible is this corner to corner Flag Blanket!?
I am loving the maple leaf garland! So beautiful! Decorate your mantle, your car, your cubicle....your best friend.
These plaid are so low-key Canadian that you could just wear them right on into fall. I love buffalo check in red or white.
But, whatever you do make sure you have a wonderful day and maybe...just maybe...Poutine.
